As The King of Trash continues its U.S. screening journey, the film is drawing not only strong community audiences but also recognition from high-profile leaders across business, academia, and thought leadership.

TAmong those in attendance was David Đặng, owner of Ben Thanh Plaza—one of the largest Vietnamese markets in Dallas, whose presence reflects the film’s growing resonance within the business community.

From across the world, Professor Dũng Nguyễn of the Math and AI Institute in Paris made the trip to attend the screening. That kind of effort says something deeper: this story travels. It matters. It reaches beyond borders.

The evening also welcomed Tiffany Lương, motivational speaker, coach, and global leader, whose work centers on empowering individuals to rise beyond limitations. Her presence—and admiration for the film—reflects the deeper impact of the story: one that speaks to growth, resilience, and stepping into purpose.

Notably, Mr. Thái Hòa Lộc, Editor-in-Chief of Người Việt Dallas, was also in attendance, underscoring the film’s growing recognition within the media and its importance to the Vietnamese community.

Across the room, leaders from different fields shared a common response. Not because the story is perfect, but because it is real—a journey shaped by hardship, built on resilience, and carried forward with determination.

What stays with people isn’t just what they see on screen—it’s what they feel. The quiet reflection. The connection. The recognition of something deeply familiar.

The King of Trash is more than a film. It’s a shared experience—one that continues to resonate across communities, industries, and generations.
